We stayed at the Marquesa for 8 days on Key West. Absolutely fabulous. I felt totally relaxed by the time we left.

Hubby wants to stay at a Condo on Key Largo, or Islamorada..no clue even where to look. ]
UPDATE...we are going to the Keys in 2 weeks. We've rented a house in Key Largo. Pulling our boat down, too, for a week of snorkeling and fishing. :) I can NOT wait. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ It's Not What You Say...It's What You Do

We went a few years ago, down for the week. We stayed at Hotel. Had a GREAT time...err...well, sure we did! LOL. We drove around for 2 days looking for the beach. DOH....uh, the Keys do NOT have a beach. But needless to say we had a great time. I need some R & R...crunching major OT at my new job, and taking no prisoners. LOL
MR. OB is hauling our boat on my SUV...the only thing..it's NOT strong enough to PULL her out of the water...his solution? He told me that he was going have ME go up with my big BLUE eyes and ask sweetly to a guy who has a BIG truck and ask him to haul me out....LOL...and also offer to slip him a $20. Err...not sure if this plan will work...but I'm glad my husband thinks my baby blues are worth a shot at the venture.

Not sure how effective the baby blues will be but the new white bikini ought to do the trick. Since this was Mr. OB's plan, he does understand that he can't go around punching anyone that leers at you, doesn't he?
(I had to do the same thing when I had a jet ski. I couldn't back the trailer up for nothing! I'd have to park in line at the ramp, then run find some hero to back it in for me. )

We had this discussion, that If I am doing that, he better NOT get peevy with me, as this will require a TON OF charm...last thing fishermen want to do at the end of the day is MORE work....and not sure what message this will send to the kids..but for a man with a degree in mathematics and physics, he's not the uh, well the best planner in the box. I may send the kids and have them look pitiful. LOL

Key West Express....
We took our first venture on the fast cat...I would recommend it highly. This was a far better way to go than the 6 hour drive.

How long did it take to get there on the Express? Was it a rough ride?

We took the express once and it was a bad ride. 99% of the people threw up on the way there. I did not though. Almost fell on my butt though.

It's about 3 1/2 hours. The ride was quite smooth and I would do it again. One other note the boat was very clean as were the rest rooms. Ralph |
