I can't get 2, to open anymore...

Strip "hereford" steak from Fresh Market(with blue cheese)...good, but not to die for...really wonderful strawberries, corn...so/so ( I'm from the midwest where the corn is to die for...)..the wild rice was excellent, as was the asparagas.

The best corn I ever tasted in my LIFE was a sweet corn called Olathe or Olethe..........I would love to find more......but I don't think they have it in Florida.

I took a hunk left over Beef Ball-Tip roast and sliced it thin and made stir fry out of it.

Quickly cooked some broccoli, green beans, cauliflower, carrots and water chest nuts. Added a mix of lite soy sauce, orange juice, honey, garlic and Chinese five spice. Tossed in the beef, a quick stir and it was done.

Served it nekkid, no rice. Pretty tasty. I can see that this will be a great way to get rid of leftovers

Sounds like my kinda dish...I'll be trying your combo of seasonings. Thanx.

Eggie, I've never even heard of that kind of corn. I always thought the corn we had in the midwest was the best.

Crappy 'before' pic, sorry.........

Stuffed pork chops with an herb dressing (chops had a 2 minute sear each side before stuffing), asparagus marinated in Italian dressing and then wrapped with bacon, portabello 'shrooms stuffed with crab meat and a garlic/herb cream cheese & topped with white American cheese w/smoked paprika and parsley.

Oh yeah...this one was a winner :P

And this nice German wine was one of the best I've had.....EVER! Didn't have to re-cork this bottle, that's for sure ;)

I got the wine at Total Wine & Spirits for $20 bux.

That looks great Rum and Dancin. I'm making pork chops tonight, and sweet potato risotto with a balsamic butter reduction to put over the top. My camera is not working so great, so I haven't been able to post pictures lately.

Found a bunch of Gold Beets the other day

Trimmed and scrubbed, then foiled whole with some butter, garlic, SnP. Put on Junior indirect for an hour. I then peeled them, cut into slices with more butter and seasonings.

They went on direct to give them a slight grill mark just as the Lemon Pepper Orange Roughy was almost done.

Served with some stir-fried veggies. Yum

That looks great Rummy....I don't think I've ever seen "gold" beets before. Sounds like they take a bit of work, but look great! Do they have the same flavor as regular beets?

I found them at the Sandy Butler last weekend. I think they are a little sweeter than red beets.

That pic was the night before.

We did catch some keeper reds, but Mr. Dancin wasn't in the mood to clean em, so we released them. Ended up having burgers. I didn't take a pic. They were horrible. LOL. I decided to buy a really lean ground meat, bad idea. Burgers gotta have fat.

That porta and sirloin look great. I keep forgetting to try grilling my romaine. I know I would love that with some balsamic!

I was going to take a picture of my dinner so Dancin didn't feel bad but honestly, it is too much work for a picture of potato chips and rolos.

I go through phases...a domestic phase and a junk food phase. Since I started working 5 days per week, I'm having a tough time adjusting to managing my time to get everything done. There is NOT enough time in a two day weekend to "do it all". I do have a little more time to cook during the week but I need to get out of my old routine. Next week, I am starting a schedule to at least get all the housework done during the week so I have time on the weekends for projects, errands, socialization, and (please, please, please) R&R. Why can't I just win the lottery?

There is no reason that you cannot grill some chicken and have some prepared rice and healthy options like that in packages in the freezer. Does your mother know what you eat for dinner? BTW, if you want help I can come over and help you prepare some meals for the week.

About 3 hours worth of cooking would give you a weeks worth of food for dinner and lunches. You just have to plan it.

Most can be frozen in individual servings and heated in the nuker or in a boiling pot of water.

If you don't have a Food Saver, made by Tilia, you should really consider it. No wasted food and you can buy in bulk.

Cooked for a neighbor's birthday party y'day

It went off without too much of a hitch and everyone liked the food.

Eight and a half slabs of BB's on the Oval (ten would fit)

and 30 Chix Thighs on Junior

I know I took pics of of the finished chicken and the salads, but it musta been some one else's camera, cuz they sure as hell ain't on mine! That pizzes me off, they were a thing of beauty

Ribs went 4 hours straight, sauce at the end no foiling, with rub and apple wood smoke at 260°. Chicken went for 3½ hours, with rub and sauce plus some pecan wood.

Beans w/bacon & brats and the rib trimmings cooked on the Kamado Round.

That will be my LAST doing a cooking favor for any one during the summer months! I thought the damn heat was going to kill me
