Yes, I saw where it was Rainbos birthday. Belated wishes Rainbo!!! My cousins is tomorrow (Thurs) and she'll be 63, my sister-in-laws was Sat. and she was 63 - that means I'm the next one of the 3 girls and I'll be 63 (not until Feb)!! My Dad's would have been this Friday. Then my brother and oldest grandson have theirs on Dec. 19th. Dec. is a busy month is this family for b'days!!!
Anyway, trip was ok. Flew down and back on a 9 seater, twin prop- Took about 52 minutes each way.Had a seat where I could stretch the leg out straight.
Weather was just like here. Had a good 3 days of meetings but did get down to Mallory Square and Duval for a short time and din-din Mon and Tues..(cabbed it - no long walking). Stayed at Casa Marina Knee had a hard time - had to use the brace while walking. Also sitting in meetings was difficult but did put it up on a chair once in awhile. Iced it down every night and did when I got home. Ankle is swollen also. Now the skin feels tight around the metal again.
Boy I sure did set off the metal detector. They had to wand me etc. I had a wheel chair with assistance both airports which made it much easier. The guy pushing the chair put my carry on stuff through on the conveyor belt here in FM and made sure that I didn't lose anything. Very helpful and of course I tipped.
Good to be home tho and to see the cats.

| its always good to get back home. when in feb? mine is the 4th..its funny how birthdays run...out of 4 children my mom had 3 in feb and one in sept....I had 2 in dec, 2 in jan and 2 in mar...sounds like your knee is doing better slowly....your poor cats is probably so glad to see you, but cats pout.. |

| hi Cals Girl....it is good to see you...I love it when all of you visit in here....I saw the smilie and I said 'thats the way I feel', and I get so mad at myself fot getting distracted and doing something wrong...like writing rainbos bd down wrong...there is no excuse for that.... |

| Good morning Ladies! Hi there Rainbo, How are you? Happy Birthday to you! I know I am a couple days late but I hope it was great. It is so good to be back, I have really missed you all. I will leave you a pm Rainbo at the news-press explaining my absence. I still can't do pm's here. I am sure it is something really simple to fix I just haven't had time. I just wanted to say hi. I need to step out for a while and shop with my 3 boys, yikes wish me luck LOL. I will come back on later. I have been watching it, but I think I must get sleepy toward the end of the show, Who was voted off last time.
I like Ozzy and Yul. Who are the two make-out survivors. I suppose you can get hungry on the island and horney.......young kids.

My puppy dog is like my third child. He is the son, I never had. He follows me around way too much.
When my pics arrive, I will post for you. We will be making him ineligiable for puppy making soon.

My family dinner last night was fun. Everyone was in a good mood (thank whoever for small miracles). My lunch with Mom today was even better and I enjoyed our pilgrimage to the magical mystical land of Miramar. My visit with Harry and David was delightful. I am swimming in truffles lol.
My Mom and I each made some purchases for the Senior giving tree, I got two major gifts out of the way.
We also checked out Coconut Point. What a beautiful mall it's going to be when it's done. It reminds me of small town America.

Anyway heykayde posted a story of a 4 year old who scared some robbers, and it reminded me of something from my childhood. The story just wasn't appropriate to that thread.
My Mom met my first stepfather when I was 4. This being the 1950's, the first date was not the time to discuss the fact that she was a divorcee with a small daughter. When he brought her home from their first date, he needed to use the restroom. As he was coming up the stairs, I woke up and started down the stairs crying. Scared him so much, he fell backwards down the stairs. LOL amazing he asked for a second date.

Went to the theator with my daughter number 1, and saw the Christmas Carol, and she liked it very much................The scrooge, ba humbug............what a character.........he wore a red scarf...and sailed around in his bed...........That has to be my all time favorite novel/story. Remember watching the movie when young, and always loving the story and tail and human emotion...............
