I never expected to make it that far. As far as I know, no one has made it to hand 20. It's why they call it dirty spades lol.

| I have never played dirty spades...I use to play cards of every kind and the kids loved to play but my hubby does not like to play so now I never play cards until I go home and then we usually don't have time to play |

I don't know. I don't have a pdf reader on my work computer so I can even open it up to check. You might try The tech thread and ask Cheese. I will check when I get home, but I won't be home until well after 5 today. My son and his girl finally found a place and moved..... wayyyyyyy out in the boonies in the North Cape. I have been driving her to and from work since she started working here 2 weeks ago, and now it will take me a bit longer to get home until she is done with training.
Someone sold another car to my boyfriend yesterday. He is going to get it running and it will be mine. I will then give my station wagon to my son's girlfriend for Christmas. With 5 kids, I have no doubt they need it more then me.

Station wagon is fine for people with families or for people who need to tote a lot of stuff around but for me, I don't need it. He wanted me to sell it (we could use the money) but he supports my decision to do that. I am very lucky to have someone in my life who understands my desire to help my children when possible.

Love your fishbowl. My boyfriend was fascinated by a pseudo fish tank he spotted at Walgreens. I am so glad he didn't buy it. LOL who needs a fake fish tank with fake fish in it?

| mellow...I almost lost my doggie last night ...he faints alot with his bad heart and he stayed fainted so long last night that I thought he was gone and I was laying in the with him crying my heart out when my hubby said 'honey, look' and the little fellow was laying there looking at me....scared me so bad....I know its going to happen but I just don't want it to. |

I know dear. It's never easy when our pets are getting ready to leave us. I remember about a year and a half before he died, Bear all of a sudden started sleeping all the time and lost his appetite. I took him to the vet who diagnosed cancer.
I decided to give Bear a good sendoff. I started feeding him steak, and I took him on a camping trip (his favorite thing to do). That camping trip rejuvenated him! He spent the entire time chasing crows. And he stayed with me for another year and a half until he had a stroke.

Did I tell you about the cabbage patch dolls? Everytime I go into a store that carries them, I check for ones with my grandchildren's names.
When I was up in GA, we were in a small town that had the smallest Walmart I ever saw. It was a little bigger then a big Walgreens. Anyway, I found own with my sister's first and middle name. You know I had to buy it. It's going under her tree from Santa. lol.

| this is not home....lol...this year they are so spread out and minus one that they won't be together so no need in me going...I always went on Thanksgiveing...one daughter is a lab tech at the hospital and she always gets thanksgiving off and works Christmas ...its easier for my family to get together on thanksgiving and her co-worker needed Christmas off so it worked out good..my son use to call me even when he had been to the house and left and even when he lived a mile from me... |

Wondering I am so sorry about your son. I don't know if I could live through that kind of a loss. I'm sure it's worse at Christmas time as I'm finding out since my dad died last week. We keep getting invited to all these Christmas parties and New Year's Eve parties and the last thing I feel like doing is celebrating anything. It's just too soon.

My Mom went through the loss of a child. My brother passed away when he was 33. In some ways I think his death precipitated all of us to migrate down here because we all did within 2 years. We all still miss him very much. My sister and I swap Pete stories from time to time. Once in a blue moon my Mom will even bring him up. It's been 14 years since he died but it's still hard for her to discuss despite the fact that I warned her 2 years before he died that he was losing the will to live.

| we talk about him alot...sometimes I can laugh about all his little antics and enjoy every minute of talking about him but sometimes I just hurt so bad and cry my heart out..the kids went in different directions after I moved down here and now its hard to get everyone together....I should never have moved down here. |
