I know it's difficult. I couldn't imagine the pain my mother felt when he died. My Dad blames me for some strange reason. What I don't have to imagine is the pain I felt when he died. He was my little brother, 7 years younger then me. I remember his entire life from birth to death.
Let's change the subject.
When I was young I had a friend who I went all through Elementary School and Junior High with and we were also Brownies and Girl Scouts together until the year my Mom decided to be a leader (we were in 7th grade). Well, she and I got into a lot of mischief together and eventually my Mom kicked us both out.
I found her on Classmates.com last month and sent her a message. She just sent me her phone number. I can't wait until tonight when I can call her.

your poor mom...I talked to my 4 yr old grandson a few days ago..he wanted his Christmas toys....guess I had better get the gift certificate off to my daughter in law...she has to go get what he wants  |

Not mailing any gifts this year. Just can't afford to buy for everyone this year. I will make up for it if I can manage to visit them next summer year.
My bf has to go back to Georgia next week to sign off on whatever his mother left him. He is hoping it will be enough to get back on his feet after all the time he took off when she died.

We are going back up in March to look around some more. As it stands, what his brother in law wants us to do is to live in a motorhome on his property. It was plenty comfy for a visit but living in it would not work for me.
We have plenty of time to decide anyway. My son just signed a one year lease on a house and won't be able to take over our mortgage now until the lease is up.

Hi All, I am still on jury duty, but we are getting close to a final conclusion. Victim impact statements were today. I cried the whole time.

I was sorry to hear about your doggie fainting. I do know how hard this is for you. Just keep the faith. They are certainly our best companions. Tiki dog has been gone almost 5 years and there are times I miss him alot. The other night I watched some old family movies that my brother had put on a VHS and there were some movies of Tiki and I playing ball. Then there were some of my other 2 dogs and 1 cat we had when I was growing up. Brought back some pleasant but sad memories.
Sorry I didn't get on yesterday. I couldn't get this to open. Same with the NP forum. Hmmmm - wonder what that was all about!!!

Oh, Cape Chick, I didn't know that your Dad had passed away. My condolences to you and your family. Yes, it is very hard and is too soon. Sometimes it is hard for even me during these holidays now that both of my parents are gone.
During the past 3 months while recuperating some folks would have thought I had lost my mind - I was constantly talking to my Mom and Dad and asking them to help me through the pain, to bend the knee more etc. Believe it or not that helped alot and there were times that I swear my Mom/Dad heard me and did help. Of course I still talk to them as I am sure you will do. Remember, the Lord works in mysterious ways and is always there for us.

I had a good long talk with my friend last night. Haven't laughed like that in years. Turned out she had been looking for me too. She remembered when I moved away, and her and me and another friend crying. It was a memory I had forgotten. Funny how something that wasn't very important to me, was very important to HER.

I am so freaked out. I asked my bank to look into a recurring charge on my account. The company charging me would not respond to questions. So, what did my bank do? They canceled my debit card and sent me a new one and I would NOT have known if I hadn't all of a sudden gotten calls about unpaid bills.
I still haven't gotten the card either and I don't write checks so now I have to contact my insurance company to make sure they don't cancel me GEEZ
